I William Stokes of East Ham in the County of Essex Builder do on this thirteenth day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and sixty eight make publish and declare the instrument in writing to be my last will and Testament and hereby revoking and making all other wills or Testamentary documents Executed by me null and void and of no Effect.
First, I desire that my Funeral Expenses and just debts be paid as soon after my death as possible.
Secondly I give and bequeath unto my dear and beloved wife, Susannah Francis, all the rest remainder and residue of my Property whatsoever for herself, and at her decease or at any time should she the said Susannah Francis marry again to be equally divided among my children.
Thirdly I nominate and appoint my brother James Stokes, of East Ham Carpenter and Edward Hammett, of Barking Road Pawnbroker as Trustees to this my last will and Testament.
